Everything is so similar in color except the bright red chair! Yet even though the chair is eye catching, it only serves to draw the eyes to your form in it somehow. I also love that long invisible line that could be drawn from your head to your outstretched toes and the faint shadow you're casting on the wall. It's a simple setup, but your pose speaks volumes and it's easy to see why this one was nominated. :)

I've had many, many issues in the past with finding my work on other websites being passed off as someone elses art.  I know it can be frustrating not to see some of the images in a larger format, but it's one of the few steps that I can take to stop theft.  Watermarks are very distracting to me, so I opt for the smaller size.

I agree with you 100% Erik and struggle with this as well and don't post many shots because of it.  Watermarks are very distracting so I too often use the smaller size and/or small watermarks.  Wish we didn't have to do that but I think it's very disrespectful to the model/photographer to use it not as intended which is all to often the case.  Don't mind at all and in fact love that others might enjoy it enough to download or view the larger format however we the models and photographers don't put ourselves out there for others to exploit as some will do. So it goes but I do enjoy your work and glad you post some of it for us!

Your musculature is extremely well lit in this piece. Probably one of the nicest poses I've seen in the artist nude genre in quite some time, and the contrast of your skin color against the chair and the two muter tones of the wall and carpet is also beautiful.

Wonderful portrait sir.

Hehe. This just looks like someone came home and said ah crap it. They throw off all their clothing and decide to stretch before relaxing on the very comfortable looking chair. This is why I love my house. I come home and the clothing is off. I am free of everything that irritates me. Time for some relaxation baby!

I don't know if that was your intent with the photo, but it's like I can relate a lot.

Thanks Stephanie.  While that wasn't my exact intent, all of my work is meant to be interrupted by the viewer in their own way.  I LOVE to hear what it makes people feel, so thanks for sharing.

With this image I had just moved cross country.  I was in a new place and had nothing more at the time than a tv, sleeping bag, my camera and this chair.  It was a new sense of freedom and I wanted to express that.  But as I mentioned, my work is open to interpretation.

We actually weren't too far off. Freedom was my thought, but a different process to get there. Mine was a hard day and yours was a new place.

I am struck by the effeminate pose of utter exasperation as the model is aboslutely slung over this curvy red chair that cradles this body without prejudice, like a mother's womb.

Wow, that is a very interesting take on the image.  I've often been told my poses and body sometimes take on a feminine quality; which I take as a great compliment as they often radiate such beauty.

It is simple, and crisp yet not perfect which what makes it a great photo.. The room is empty which seems odd but I like he flash of color. I enjoy the pose and seemingly careful placement of limbs. Very tasteful

Congrats on the DD you deserve it :)

I like your photos a lot.
They are more natural than most of the photos I have seen because they are not taken-in-a-studio-perfect.
So keep on going! And congrats on the DD. Nod
